Jie Yang, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a Lead Investigator at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is an affiliated faculty member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, the Harvard Data Science Initiative, and the Kempner Institute for the Study of Natural and Artificial Intelligence at Harvard University. His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medicine, emphasizing the development of innovative natural language processing (NLP) techniques, including large language models (LLMs) to analyze electronic health records (EHRs) and healthcare big data. He is also a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA).
Dr. Yang earned his PhD in Natural Language Processing from the Singapore University of Technology and Design.
